Until the store approval you can load the extension manually:
- Download and unzipDownload the ZIP below and unzip it into a folder.
- Open the extensions pageType chrome://extensions (Edge: edge://extensions) into the address bar and switch on developer mode.
- Load unpackedClick “Load unpacked” and select the unzipped folder. Done: open a FACEIT match room.
Firefox only installs extensions signed by Mozilla. It follows as soon as Firefox Add-ons approves it.
What it does
Demo status in the match room
The panel shows whether the match is live, the demo is being prepared or ready.
One click to MapSense
“Analyse now” imports the match into your MapSense account and opens the 2D replay.
Your performance
Click your name once: K/D/A, ADR, headshot rate and bars against the lobby average.
Both teams
Every player with level, K-D and ADR, your own row highlighted.
Recent matches
The toolbar popup lists your latest FACEIT matches with an analyse button each.
Your chat rating
Connect your MapSense account to see your Steam profile and a private grade for your in-game chat in your last 20 matches.
German and English
Follows your browser language, switchable in the popup.
Privacy policy for the extension
What the extension reads
Only the address of the FACEIT page you have open, to recognise a match room and its match ID. It does not read page content, cookies, passwords or your FACEIT account.
What is sent to MapSense
The match ID of the open match room, and the FACEIT nickname you enter yourself in the popup. Both go to mapsense.gg to load public FACEIT match data. No cookies are sent with these requests.
What is stored
Your nickname, language choice and the panel position are stored in your browser (browser sync storage). MapSense does not store them. The web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, requested address) for up to 14 days for security reasons.
No tracking
No analytics, no advertising, no selling or sharing of data with third parties.
Analyse button
Opens mapsense.gg in a new tab. Importing a demo requires a MapSense account; the MapSense privacy policy applies there.
Connecting your MapSense account (optional)
If you click “Connect”, mapsense.gg creates a connection key for your account after you confirm it while logged in. The key is stored only in your browser and can be revoked at any time with “Disconnect”. MapSense stores only a hash of it.
Steam profile and chat rating
With a connected account the popup shows your own Steam profile (name, avatar, level from the Steam Web API) and your private chat rating: a grade and category counts from the in-game chat of your last 20 matches. Only you see it, individual messages are never shown. The optional chat check analyses the demos of your last 20 FACEIT matches in MapSense; chat data is deleted after 365 days.
Contact and deletion

Yes. The extension and MapSense are free.
Which browsers are supported?
Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and other Chromium browsers, plus Firefox from version 128.
Do I need a MapSense account?
Not for the panel. To import and analyse a demo you need a MapSense account; the waitlist is open.
